The following pages are ideas and suggestions for a planting schedule in the LA and OC areas. Within the region we have several zones, so each garden is unique. In my back yard, I have enough shade to grow broccoli well into early summer…Out at the community plot, broccoli is mostly done by the end of April. We can plant and harvest all year in So Cal…sometimes even enjoying two full crops per season…if you have a sunny patch of dirt you can plant corn in March, harvest and plant again in August. You can serve fresh corn from your garden on Thanksgiving, how much fun is that!
